Congratulations to Jordan and Krystal Wade on their nuptials! Their Wedding Ceremony and Reception was at The Gallery -Houston. It all started with a beautiful and colorful Ceremony outside at the Fountain Patio. The Ceremony was officiated by Reverend Robert Saenz a long time personal friend of Krystal’s family. The Sand Ceremony was a very special moment as Jordan’s sister Tiffany sang the song “No One Else” as Krystal’s brother Amos accompanied her on the keyboard. It was real nice touch!
After the Ceremony, family and guest made their way through the receiving line to congratulate Jordan and Krystal. Then making their way upstairs for cocktails in the 2nd Floor Balcony. Meanwhile, Jordan, Krystal, their family and bridal party remained outside to take pictures.
Once pictures were complete, the guests were invited back downstairs to the Main Gallery Room to start the reception. After I introduced the Parents and Grandparents, we welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Jordan and Krystal Wade while the song “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” by Stevie Wonder brought everyone to their feet.
After the Blessings by Pastor Isaac Caballero Jr (Krystal’s father), the dinner buffet line was started by the bridal party and immediate family. The remaining family and guest made their way through the line as each table was assigned a particular song to alert them that it was their turn. Half way through dinner, we started the Photo Montage that was prepared by Krystal’s personal friend Jose Perez.
After dinner, the reception continued with all the traditional formalities such as the Cake Cutting. We were also entertained with a scripted dialogue of personal clichés narrated by both Matron of Honors Carissa (Krystal’s Sister) and Maritza (Krystal’s Cousin) in which made everyone laugh, cry, and reminisce. It was followed by the toast from the Best Man Justin (Jordan’s Best Friend) and Devin (Jordan’s Brother). Both parents also shared some words and a toast. Then we finally got to hear words of gratitude from Jordan and Krystal.
The room lit up as Jordan and Krystal danced their first dance as husband and wife to a special edited song mix of Beautiful Surprise by India Arie, The Way You Make Me Feel by Michael Jackson, and Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars.” It was followed by Krystal’s dance with her father Isaac to Rascal Flatts song “My Wish,” in which started with a recorded message by Dad and was later followed with another recorded message by her mother Hilda. The dance ended with all three of them in an emotional embrace. Wow! What a moment! They were followed by Jordan and his mother Nancy’s dance to the song by Johnnie Taylor “Nothing Like A Lady.”
We then moved on to the bouquet and garter toss, then about 20 minutes of the Money Dance. Finally we kicked off the dance party! The dance music selections were everything from a variety of Top 40 Dance, Old School Funk and Soul, and a selection of Latino Music including Salsa, Merengue, Cumbias, Tejano, etc… the dance floor stayed packed out throughout the night.
The evening ended with Jordan and Krystal on the middle of the dance floor surrounded by their family and guest for their last dance song “Last Dance” by Donna Summers. As the song played, everyone held their hands together and raised them up as they swayed from side to side. Then when the song kicked in, they all joined Jordan and Krystal, to end the night with everyone on the dance floor. It was a great end to a magical night!
It was an honor and privilege to have been a part of Jordan and Krystal’s wedding. I am a very close friend of the Caballero Family and I’ve known Krystal since she was about ten years old and she had the cutest little dimples you’ve ever seen. So it was special for me. Thank you Jordan and Krystal!
A special thanks to Isaac & Hilda Caballero and Roland & Nancy Wade…It was truly an honor. Also a BIG Thanks to the staff at The Gallery-Houston for their hard work and professional hospitality. I really look forward to working with them again in the future.
